just had a ukulele for christmas, and i learned how to play in 30 minutes thanks to that app! it is simple, fun, and really useful.
This little app is brilliant. Gives you a chance to practice various strumming patterns and play along simple songs with the basic chords.
Nice to have would be a way to adjust the tempo, to start slow and build up to the normal tempo.
And then the developper could turn this into an absolute must have killer app if there was a way to add you own song ie: pick chords, pick a strumming pattern and off you go... I would definitely pay more money for that feature. (No idea how hard it would be, but importing midi like in synthesia for piano would be totally amazing!).

This App is easy to understand. It helped me to improve my strumming. You get some useful informations how to hold the instrument and how to play it. But I enjoy the playalongs most. There is one exercise and six songs. You can mute the strumming, so I can really jam to the songs. Very good concept. I hope they add some additional songs in the future. Just great. And it is very cheap too.
This app is an amazing tool for non musicians to understand the basics and beyond... Holding position, hand position and finger chord position ... Tuner ... And play along to learn... And personalizing the choices to suit your own comfort .... Great job Peter and Thank You... Paul
Nice introduction to some basic chords. I like that you dont need to know how to read music at all to use this app, as I sort of knew when I was young many years ago, but have completely forgotten how to read music. There are wonderful almost karaoke like visuals to play along with. I was thrilled to find this as I am having a hard time finding an ukulele instructor in the small town I live in. Again the visuals are great and the tuner and chord finder are much better than in any other app I have tried so far. Thought it was worth the purchase price. I purchased some additional songs and find them very difficult to learn as they dont have the user support that the first 7 do. I am having a bit of trouble mastering La Bamba the last lesson as the chords change so rapidly . Still I
Would highly recommend this app to someone like me who has a new ukulele and no one to practice with!
Great app. Im progressing fast and the playslongs are great. I would give it five stars but theres one little thing, the app closes during the playalongs. If the app would stay open during those, it would be perfect.
Some bad moments
This app is very clear and easy to use. If you have a few hours to devote, you could probaby get through all 7 days at once. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the songs you learn - they are mostly known, but far from popular. If you could buy additional songs in app to learn and practice, this would be the best uke learning app Ive seen.
The game-style used in teaching is well done! It would be great to have another level added. Recommended!
I appreciated hand illustrations that i dont see in other apps
Ive been using a book to learn to play the ukulele but I could never get the strumming portion of the book right since it always sounded weird to me. Having the visual and sound reference from this app really helps me to learn proper strumming. Plus Im also learning new strumming techniques from this app as well. Its a very well-built app. It shows the beat and rhythm for each strumming and also when you should strum up or down,
Really easy to follow along. Ive tried to learn to play a few times, and this app is the best. It took me a few more days than 7, but very happy with the lessons.
I got a ukulele and I am having fun learning to play. This app is really fun and a great place to start for a beginner.
